Bromsgrove Strings was originally established in 1982 with Chris Howell being the sole proprietor. Bromsgrove Strings is at the forefront of violin family instrument and bow restoration & repairs in the West Midlands. Our aim is to provide the best advice and solutions for all strings players.
Unique to Bromsgrove Strings is our expertise in Baroque & Classical instruments and bows. Chris Howell can offer advice on the suitability of converting an instrument back to its original form or conversely converting a Baroque or Classical instrument into modern playing standards.
Bromsgrove Strings also accepts commissions for bows made by our master craftsman and bowmaker, namely Chris Howell.
